Last Blush over Rain God Mesa - Print 3253
3253.jpg
As if erupting with painted cloud hues, the imposing mass of Rain God Mesa towers like a resolute fortress in the fading evening light of Monument Valley. Flanked by other towering giants, like Thunderbird Mesa, it commands an otherworldly presence. Aided by the arrival of summer monsoons, the Navajo have farmed the sandy soils around Rain God Mesa and other monoliths for centuries, bringing sustenance of the good earth to the people.
