As the worst drought in 40 years plagues Samburu, two reticulated giraffes take a break from foraging as the sun begins to set. Endemic to the arid regions of Somalia, southern Ethiopia, and northern Kenya, these animals are being particularly hard hit by the years-long drought. With only some 9,000 individuals left in the wild, their future remains uncertain as long as the drought continues.
