In the never-ending search for food, Grizzly 399 leads her four cubs-of-the-year across the Snake River just downstream of Jackson Lake Dam. In order to reach different areas of her territory 399 and the cubs must cross the fast and dangerous river. Earlier in the year when the cubs were much smaller and the flows of the river much higher, this crossing was a daunting task for the tiny cubs, though this time there was no hesitation from the eight-month-old cubs.
