With the face of a teddy bear, one of Grizzly 399’s cubs-of-the-year pauses to watch what its mom and sibling are doing. Although still fairly small, its growth has sped up rapidly in recent weeks as winter and its hibernation approaches. Unfortunately, this adorable grizzly’s story ended tragically, as the following summer this cub and its sibling got separated from 399 a year early. One of the siblings was hit by a car, while the other is thought to have died of natural causes being unable to survive on its own. The life of a grizzly is not easy.
