Winding through the sagebrush, a group of wild horses follow their dominant mare back to the watering hole. In the high desert of Northwest Colorado, water is a scarce resource worth protecting from other bands of horses. With another group approaching their preferred water source, this group gallops back, kicking up dust, to ward off the outsiders.
