Late winter sun illuminates the historic Tate Barn below the dramatic ridges of Mount Timpanogos. Originally built in 1902 by Francis Tate for his dairy farm, the barn stood the test of time for more than 90 years before collapsing under the weight of heavy snow in 1996. Rebuilt in 2002, the barn marked a stately entrance to the Soldier Hollow Winter Olympics venue that same year. Standing as a testament to the industriousness of early settlers, the Tate Barn is a gem of the beautiful and scenic Heber Valley.
